Dierks Bentley - Greatest Hits
by Heather Williams
Earlier this month Dierk’s Bentley released a greatest hits album, Greatest Hits: Every Mile A Memory 2003-2008. Honestly I get tired of greatest hits albums being released by artists who haven’t been around that long. I was reluctant to take a look at his greatest hits album. I was pleasantly surprised when I looked at it. It really looks like he took care in creating and arranging an 18 song album for his fans and for new fans alike. I love that he put a lot of live songs on the album. Besides the live stuff he has two new songs on it. “With The Band”, and his cover of Radney Foster song, “Sweet & Wild” are the new ones on Dierk’s greatest hits album. My favorites on the album are the live version of “Come A Little Closer” and the new cover, “Sweet & Wild.”
While looking over Dierk’s albums at itunes, I saw that Dierks has an album called Live from Bonnaroo 2007: Dierks Bentley that was released last year. This live album looks very intriguing. Every song has an explicit warning written on it and there is a parental advisory warning. I had no idea that Dierks was such a bad boy. I may have to listen to this thing! Has anyone else heard this Bonnaroo album? If so let me know.
