Congratulations to Melissa Lawson. Melissa, 32 year old mother of 5 was announced the winner of Nashville Star last night.
I was shocked and excited when she was announced as the winner. Melissa winning will help show the country music industry that we want more powerful women country singers back in the forefront of country music! I want to see in the very near future record releases from acts like Shania, Dixie Chicks, Terri Clark, Reba, Trisha, etc. I think Melissa Lawson is going to do an awesome job representing country music at the Olympic games and will put out a great record.
I know all you Gabe Garcia fans are sad he didn’t win but we all know Gabe will end up with a record deal regardless of a first place or a second place finish. Melissa needed the win more than Gabe.
