H.S. Grad. Party Songs
Graduation is over and it is time for graduation parties! There are many great country music party songs out there. When investigating country songs for this list, I noticed most party songs focus on drinking. I decided to challenge myself and come up with a list of great country party songs for high schoolers that don’t have drinking as a central theme.
1. These Are My People – Rodney Atkins (2006, If You Are Going Through Hell)
These Are My People is a great song to play at a graduation party to recognize how awesome it is to have all your friends and family there to support you graduating high school.
2. Hicktown – Jason Aldean (2005, Jason Aldean)
This fun country pride song is about how people party in the country.
3. Johnny Cash – Jason Aldean (2007, Relentless Album)
This country-rock song written by John Rich is about a guy who quits his job and runs off to Vegas with his girlfriend. The song is not about Johnny Cash. The chorus of this song includes the phrase “blasting out to Johnny Cash.” This song has a 80’s rock feel with a country twist.
4. Boondocks - Little Big Town (2005, The Road To Here)
Nice little song about living in the country.
5. Crazy Dreams - Carrie Underwood (2007, Carnival Ride)
This upbeat song is very inspirational. It’s message is to dream big and you will succeed.
6. Famous In A Small Town - Miranda Lambert (2007, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend)
Whether you live in a small town or not, this song will apply to many. Any school environment sometimes feels like a small town where everyone else knows your business.
7. The Chicks Dig It - Chris Cagle (2003, Chris Cagle)
Chris Cagle likes to sings songs with a little rock to them. This is a fun one.
8. Rollin’ – Big & Rich (2004, Horse Of A Different Color Album)
If you are going to play some rocking country music you have to play at least one Big & Rich song. The song is about telling the critics that country music can incorporate rock. It also features the rapping of cowboy Troy in the middle of the song.
9. Hillbilly Deluxe – Brooks & Dunn (2005, Hillbilly Deluxe Album).
Brooks & Dunn may be a little older but they sure can rock. This song has a good pace and some nice electric guitar. This song is about partying hillbilly style.
10. Some Girls Do - Sawyer Brown (1995, Saywer Brown Greatest Hits).
This is just a fun song. You should play at least one song that the kids don’t recognize! Another fun classic is Tim McGraw - Indian Outlaw.
